PHILOSOPHY
At We Luv Em child care our program is designed to minister to
the variety of elements that develop our childrens
physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health.
Our program stresses active play, rest, nutritionally balanced
meals, and sanitary habits. We believe that children learn in a
variety of ways; observation, experience, example and active
listening to mention a few. We understand that the transition
from infancy to childhood can be a very traumatic time for some
children and we help nurture an environment whereby the support
and comfort needed to make this transition is readily available.
Through supervised interactions with other children in a
multitude of settings throughout each day, our children are
introduced to both the concept of friendship and the behaviors
that make these successful. Through both the lessons that are
taught and the lives that are led, we endeavor to teach our
children the importance of the spiritual aspect of life.
HISTORY
We Luv Em Child Care was established on January 17, 1973 as an
outreach of the North Kannapolis United Methodist Church. At that
time child care was in its infancy and to create this ministry
for the community was a step of faith for our church. We began
with one staff member and five children, from ages 2-5 years of
age. The Center was located in the Fellowship Hall of the
Church.
Today, we are located in our new facility. Again our members
allowed their faith to guide them. They built a Family Life/
Child Care Center with space for 96 children. God continues to
provide for His ministry.
